Eaten Alive

Well, it really wasn't that bad. I've gone to NYC 3 times in the past 30 days; The Big Apple Definetly took a huge bite out of me... financially... but... I had a great time, don't get me wrong. It's just that the city can just be very overwelhming at times. Luckily I had Lonely Plantet's Guide to NYC, complete with city area and subway maps. Trust me, this is a must if you plan on getting around and want to cut down on the amount of times you'll get lost.

This past week I've had friends staying with me. My apartment for a change is full of sounds, the TV, constant cooking and full of conversation. A needed change, it feels good to have enough room for visitors.... my couch/pullout bed worked great. I can't wait for my bro to come up. We'll also go to NYC, it'll be great. I know the city pretty good now, we'll have no problem getting by.

Good things in the city, ahh.... food. Not only food... but Bolivian food. I got information on 3 bolivian restuarants. All in Jackson Heights in queens. Alos took about 45 min to get there. Which involved, 2 trains and 12 city blocks of walking. Not to bad. The food was good, we had Charquekan. A great great meal, mine was complete with a Pacena (Bolivian Beer).

Well needless to say, my last three roadtrips have put a huge dent in my wallet, ... I'm going to recover. I start a new job tomorrow (In addition to my internship) as a waiter at Chi Chi's. I'm hoping to learn/work my way up to becomming a bartender and make some good tips during the night. I could really use the extra cash to pay off some of my bills. ...... oppss... 9:15 ... gotta get ready for a meeting....
