Food, friends and Philadelphia
So I couldn't think of three F's, but Philadelphia has the same sound.
Food: Casa Blanca , A Moroccan restuarant in Philadelphia, that we went to on Saturday. Plush couches, eight course meal, Red Wine, music .... and of course, Belly dancers. Don't worry, don't worry, both sexes where represented. Male and Female dancers!
Friends: A group of DuPonters. We have been going out the last couple of months. Being so far away from family can be pretty tough. I miss being able to talk to my Mom and Dad in person and my brothers seem so far away. Internet and phones are good, but not that good. But since I have been hanging out with this group, I sometimes. ... dare I say it .... feel at home, IN DELAWARE. The gang, Karen, Tania, Dominique, Marc, Abe, Saskia, Michelle, Angelica, Vince, Tony, and myself are a group of DuPonters. Ranging from 21 to a wholesome young 38 years old! Marc, it's not that you are the oldest, you are the least young. LOL, lets just call you "El Capitan".
Philadelphia: Nighlife in Philadelphia can be wild and crazy. One thing, and this can be very important. YOU NEED TO know where you are going, ...... in advance. You can call the 411, but they might give you directions to a club that is closed.. oppss.. That was my fault. I heard of a club called "La Gran Manzana", a latin and Hip Hop club. I guessed they got closed down a few weeks ago.
We actually ended up at club Egypt. I liked it, dispite many disbeliefs. We danced to Techno, Hip Hop and even some disco. The disco room was cool, the waiters had roller skates and it wasn't as crowded as the other rooms. The only thing I wish was that they would have had a Latin room. I can't get enough of Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue or Bachata. it's not because I'm latin, it's because it's fun to dance to and everybody has respect. Not like in Hip Hop clubs where guys just want to grind and girls just want to dance a "Circular Barrier of Women", deflecting any intruder, rightfully so, since most guys..... . let's not get into it.
The whole weekend was great. Sunday topped it off. We all went to a park. Played soccer, read, laid out in the hot sun. I even got a tan. Well, I was red at first, but it's slowly changing into a nice tan that is O'natural. I really needed it. I am so pale.
So you think I'm a dork for wanting to get tan! So what, no matter what way you look at it, I'm still tan, and that's all that matters!
