falling snow and cancelled class

Over 8 inches of snow hit our little city of East Lansing. It fell hard and long ... all day long. The snow was terrible for the roads. While I was on one bus we got stuck! It took about 30 min to get us free. So were classes cancelled?? No, not officially, but my Law prof did decide to cancel class on her on accord! Thank you! A night class, after 20 hrs of snow fall, would have been a bad idea. I have to say thanks to mom for lending me her car. It works great! I only drive about 15 on the highway, but it's warm, reliable and tuned to 100.7 (country) :) .

So what's new? Well, nothing to much. Just the usual semester routines... classes, work, running around campus, student orgs and meetings. ... But this semester is actually really different. I am far more focused on school. I might not have all the time in the world, but I think I am making very effective use of the time I have. Grades... they are supposed to reflect this.. but I fear that in the end ... if I leave that to be my measure, I will be found wanting. So I AM NOT going to get caught up in the point system. :) Easier said than done, but I will try.

Differences, ... I've noticed that I have a far harder time relating to "my fellows" this year than ever before. Maybe it's becuase I refer to them as "fellows" ... j/k ... it's more than that. I just have no want to try to relate to new students. I feel like I've heard it all before. I think I'm becoming cynical. Oh well.

Good things that have happened:
My mom turns 30. ... ok I can't remember her exact age, but 30 will do. She has the spirit of a 30 yr old, I still find it hard to keep up with her... don't even get me started on my father... he stills beats me in tennis everytime we play.

Best Man! - that's right, I've been asked to be the best man at Brett's wedding.. Brett is one of my dearest friends. I really feel that as I have grow as a person, he has always been there for me, listening, laughing and always ready to call me out! :)

Ok, ... I need to hit the books. FOCUS!
