Navy
Pier once a naval base, is now a shopping center and theme park for
kids. It houses the world’s
largest I-Max theater. At nighttime
it’s a truly wonderful and romantic place

Chicago
Chicago
is probably one of the most diverse and beautiful cities in the world. It boosts the world’s most beautiful
skyline and on a clear night you can see over 35 miles from the Hancock
observatory. Downtown
Chicago on Michigan Avenue, has some of the finest shopping and nighttime
entertainment you can find anywhere.
The last time I went to Chicago I went as a
mentor for the Chicano Latino Studies Fellows program. The best part of the trip was
getting to hang out on Navy Pier.
We got a good tour of Shed Aquarium and the Chicano Fine Arts
museum. Chicago was first
founded in 1673 by a French missionary, and has since then has grown from a
city with a population of 100 to over 3 million. I highly recommend visiting Chicago, 3 days should be
allow plenty of time to visit all the Museums and maybe even catch dinner
at the Cheese Factory.
