Still cheering
04.04.2003They cheered in Najaf. In Umm Qasr. In Safwan. In Zubayr. In Aziziyah (a suburb of Baghdad). In Basra, Iraqis and Royal Maries played soccer (the Iraqis won 9-3). Huh. You'd almost think that, like, maybe they're happy to be free of Hussein? Maybe?


You know, I sure wish we'd asked more Iraqis if they wanted a war of liberation. I'm sure the hippies in Berkeley mean well, but I'm always preferred asking the people themselves. It's a little more, um, you know, progressive.
