Today was the second Sunday ride of the season. We rolled sixteen deep to and through Portage. It was a good turnout, despite missing a few key people. But most of the usual suspects were there. And quite a few non-members.
Team Minarelli was there. I'm really excited about the upcoming Memorial Day Moped Army BBQ. This time there's a relay race along w/ the usual cross-town no-rules rally race. The Azzurri are ready. The addition of Chris More breaks w/ our traditional all-blue Minarelli moped team, though Caleb might put his electric blue 1978 AMF back in the stable.
My plan's to gear Lucia for acceleration and mid-range going into the relay race. I'll take The Motron to the rally race — geared for mid-range and topspeed. The Motron's more compact, lower to the ground, and handles snap-turns better. If I'm gonna go the wrong way on Westnedge again (hey, it's a no-rules race), I want a very responsive bike.
