Finally online again
07.27.2004I've taken a break from cyberspace to just enjoy being back in Saginaw. And I do enjoy it. You spend most of your angst-ridden teenage existence plotting a way out of a small, broken down, industrial town only to find yourself nostalgic driving along familiar streets: Gratiot, Genessee, Court, Shattuck, Tittabawassee, Hemmeter, Bay. And the huge empty spaces, the country songs dedicated to soldiers, and flags at half staff for a recent fallen remind me I'm in a whole other place. I'd even forgotten what it felt like to wander aimlessly through the hundreds of aisles at Meijer's.
Still haven't unpacked yet. Or fully gotten myself organized. Plenty of time for that later. I've been spending most of my time catching up on missed TV, light reading (mostly comics), and sitting on Matt's back porch, talking w/ Chris Gober over a Miller Lite. He's getting married this weekend. And I can't believe it's been so long.
Mom & Dad took the abuelitos to Chicago to see Novali & Sam. Andy's meeting them on the way back. So I've the house to myself. It's good to have a bit of peace & quiet. Taking advantage for a bit of shopping (new digital camera, looking at cell phones, new eye glasses from Walmart).
Oh, and thinking about how to get my cats to their previously un-fat state. Annie's now over 20 lbs. Zoot alors!
BTW. If you wanna get a hold of me the next few days, call this number: (989) 245-4366.

It seems you are having a good time of relax. How long do you think it'll take you and your cats to get back in shape? :). I completely forgot about your camera (I wanted to buy yours), If you still have it send me an email.

Well, Annie was always a bit plumb, but only a bit over 15 lbs or so. She was at least 23 lbs just a month ago. Yikes!
