Flipping through Lonely Planet's condensed guides for London & Barcelona, trying to figure out some sort of daily routine for the day-and-a-half I'll spend in each city. I've gotten suggestions for London, and I'll be there one full day plus one morning (that second afternoon, I head out to the airport and then to Rome). But I've little idea what to expect/do in Barcelona. Or should I just wing it? Suggestions welcome.
Also, booked a flight from London's Stansted to Rome's Ciampino on RyanAir, and a bed at the Astor Victoria through HostelWorld. Now I need to familiarize myself w/ the London Underground tube system.

Would going to the cite of Barcelona's 3/11 be too depressing? I think it would be nice to pay respects. Other than that I would check out the different mosques and other cultural places. And I would have to go shopping too.
