Into the weekend I go
03.24.2005Attended another lunchtime Latin American studies group talk. This time the political science department's Latin Americanist. A really interesting talk about a cross-national comparative study of expatriate policies. My favorite part's always the anthro reaction to "social scientific" approaches; the little inter-disciplinary clique divisions are hilarious (it's just like high school).
I asked about GIS software, and someone in the geography department wants me to take a semester-long GIS course. Sorry, no thanks. I think I'll just teach myself GRASS GIS (X11 freeware). Here's to optimism.
The rest of my day (after teaching) consisted of sock shopping & window scraping. Also, a Kahlua mocha from Rocket Star.
Now I plan to watch television until my brain turns to mush, read some comics, and then sleep until whenever I get hungry enough to roll out of bed.

How does a mushed brain looks like? ;-)
Enjoy your weekend. And of course, happy Easter.
I know I'll be sipping punch in fron of a huge bonfire.

A mushed brain looks like it's watched too much "late nite" cable movies. Specifically: USA Network, TNT, and TBS.
Such movies may include, but are not limited to, things such "classic dramas" as Tremors 4: The Legend Begins or Under Siege 2: Dark Territory.
