Day 3

A quick recap on the World Cup at the end of Day 3. BTW, the BBC News has perhaps the best World Cup info website (complete w/ RSS feeds).
Another day of decent matches. Serbia & Montenegro kept Netherlands down to a 1-0 victory, which is pretty good against "the Orange Machine." Then a less-than-stellar showing by Iran against Mexico. That game ended 3-1, but Iran had a few good moments, until they fell apart at the end.
Finally, Portugal limped past Angola. I don't think Angola deserved to win — they weren't very creative or solid or fast. But Portugal should've done better. Yeah, they'll probably qualify out of Group D (along w/ Mexico), but if they keep playing like that, it'll be the same story as always for their team: Lots of promise, no delivery.
But who cares? Team USA opens against the Czech Republic tomorrow!
