Terry Schiavo...for those of us out of the loop.
Okay so in doing some searching on conservative blogs....I ran across www.moxie.nu and her top blog entry https://http://moxie.nu/moveabletype/archives/003301.php which was very interesting. But being a bit out of the loop I found myself having to do some extra reasearch to figure out who this 'Terry Schiavo' was. This is what I found was this a brief on the current situation http://www.theage.com.au/news/World/Terry-Schiavo-righttodie-case/2005/03/21/1111253915188.html?oneclick=true and then I came across this which is the current leagal status of the bill http://judiciary.house.gov/newscenter.aspx?A=466
Like many other people I guess I am just left wondering....is this just an attempt to make a political party look good?
I don't know about anyone else but this evokes innerconflict for me.

Thanks!
It seems everyone is getting involved in the Shiavo dispute.
I think that as of now, most people believe the ball is in the conservatives court because the feeding tube is out, and they feel they must do something in order for her to live.
I think it would be interesting to see Jeb Bush call in some federal marshalls to pull Shiavo out of the current care provider, and take her somewhere where the feeding tube would be reinserted. This would cause dissention among the conservative ranks because it would be a move symbolizing "big government" which is much hated in conservative land.
My opinion does not rest with the conservatives. But it seems to me, that the conservatives are going to have to do something drastic in order to change the status quo.
