Treaty of Westphalia
Hey could someone please give me a little bit of background on the Treaty of Westphalia. I know it ended the Thirty Years War, but I'm unclear as to what type of governmental system it created. I will probably look this up on the internet, but I just thought we could also get a discussion going on this.

Here's the article on the Peace of Westphalia on Wikipedia. Essentially, the treaty created the nation-state system. Let me know if you've further questions. I also look forward to other students sounding off on this.
