thanks for working it brad.. nice :)

ok. i'll take that attendance list. it's the only fair thing to do.

Miguel, the people who went to class when you were absent made an attendance list for you! (hint...hint...extra credit)

Thursday, October 10

Continue the reading as scheduled. The next chapter in the blue book is pretty short (only three authors) and blends seamlessly into the chapter in the red book. We will spend three class periods on the chapter on socialism after Marx, so we can always catch up a bit there, too. Read "The Communist Manifesto" really carefully, since we'll focus a bit more on that; but be familiar w/ the entire chapter in the red book.

Do you want us to continue to read as planned on the syllabus or just the reading that we were suppose to have done for Thursday?

I apologize for missing class today. I set my alarm for PM, rather than AM, by mistake. We will cover the socialism chapter in the red book on Tuesday. We can go back to some of the conservatives if someone has any specific questions, but I wasn't planning on going back.

For those who are interested in getting a study group together for the class just stay behind after class and we can discuss possible times and places on where to meet. Kimberly

hey, we didn't get very far with the readings on conservatives. Are we still moving on to read about socialism, or sticking with conservatism?

I'm giving one point extra credit to everyone who has logged into the weblog at least once.

Monday, October 7

I agree with you Lisa, the Taliban seem to have the ideology out line steps going on. What excalty would ya call them particularly... I dont know :). But if you look on page 8 on our red book, you might find some interesting stuff.(Hint-Hint).

Good Idea Rene K. on brainstorming for paper ideas. To anyone that does want to get together, Im available after 8 pm. Most days.

I think the idea for a study group is good. I am available Monday-Wednesday nights and Tuesday, thursday from after class until 1pm.

I have a break after class until 2pm, If you are available we could meet at some point during that time.
KCA

I'd be more then willing to meet as a group after class... wednesday nights are bad for me, but whatever day works for others. Maybe we could start brainstorming ideas for our paper?

Sunday, October 6

I think that I would even go so far as to say that the Taliban could be considered their own ideology. It explains why things are the way they are by using the Quran, and it evaluates them in the ways of their religion. Many people were able to orientate themselves with this method of thinking, and their program for this...well, we all saw that much. I could be way off track. anyone else see what I mean?
